HUAWEI shared a teaser of its upcoming P50 Pro at the end of the HarmonyOS and product launch event, showing two camera cutouts, one with triple cameras and the other with a single camera, which is reported to have a variable aperture liquid lens that first debuted in the Mi MIX Fold back in March. There are two flash modules to choose from. The VARIO-SUMMILUX-H 1:1.8-3.4/18-125 ASPH lens is also shown.
Huawei P50 Series Expected Specifications:
A 1-inch camera sensor, the Sony IMX800, will be used in the Huawei P50 series. According to a screengrab from the videography, the Huawei P50’s quad-camera will go from 18mm to 125mm, implying that the long end would be covered by a 5x periscope zoom.
The phone is also believed to include a normal earpiece instead of a magnetic earpiece speaker. The phone is claimed to be 159mm tall and 73mm wide, which is nearly identical to the P40 Pro. The Snapdragon 888 SoC is rumored to power the Pro+ version.
According to an earlier leak, it would have a 6.6-inch OLED curved screen with a single punch-hole in the top centre, as opposed to a dual punch-hole screen in the left corner on the predecessor, indicating that it will forego the use of an IR camera for face unlock.
HUAWEI has revealed that the P50 series will be delayed in comparison to the P series’ Spring debut. According to the CEO, the company has not set a specific date for the debut.
