Motorola last year brought the budget for 5G Moto G 5G phone under 20,000 (incl. Discount) in India. Later, brands like Xiaomi and now the realm have steadily begun to flood the market with 5G mid-range smartphones. That said, a new tip from Mukul Sharma indicates that Motorola might soon be taking a 5G budget facility to India.
It’s rumored to be the Ibiza code-named smartphone that was found yesterday on Geekbench. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s newly released 5G entry-level chipset, the Snapdragon 480, and comes with 6GB of pre-installed RAM and Android 11. The phone has already been approved by the Wi-Fi Alliance, and now the tipster says it’s heading to India.
The launch is expected soon, and the Moto G40 is said to feature a 90 Hz IPS LCD. It will be advertised as a budget 5G unit, which is part of the market that has been rapidly crowding up lately. What is not obvious is the resolution, and it may be either 720p+ or 1080p+. Obviously, we’re hoping for the latter, but don’t hold your breath. The G40 is scheduled to become official before the end of the month.
