After stating at Build 2021 that the next-generation of Windows would be announced soon, Microsoft has officially confirmed that the next upgrade for Windows will be unveiled on June 24th. The invitation simply states, “Join us to see what’s next for Windows,” with no indication of what to expect. Windows 10 was released in 2015 as a replacement for Windows 8/8.1.
New Microsoft Windows OS: What to expect?
CEO Satya Nadella and Chief Product Officer Panos Panay will present a glimpse of the next-generation Windows features at the event. The CEO has previously stated that it will be one of the most significant changes to Windows in the last decade, allowing developers and creators to earn more money. He also mentioned that he has been self-hosting it for a few months and that he is really enthused about the future generation of Windows.
It’s unclear whether it’ll be known as Windows 11 or simply Windows 10 version 21, but it’ll be released in October. Visual updates and improvements to the Start Menu, Action Centre, File Explorer, and Taskbar are expected, as well as upgrades to the Xbox Auto HDR feature and Bluetooth audio support.
On June 24th, at 11 a.m. EST, Microsoft will host a Windows event (8:30 PM IST). Microsoft will, as usual, provide a live webcast of the event.
