Realme 8s 5G and Realme 8i are the two new smartphones revealed by the company at today’s launch event. Along with this, it has also revealed the first tablet called ‘Realme Pad’ which has been covered by us already. A new MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset powers the Relame 8S 5G, while the Realme 8i is powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 SoC. what’s more about these smartphones? Let’s check it out.

Realme 8s 5G: India’s first Dimensity 810 SoC Smartphone!
The Realme 8s 5G has a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400, a screen-to-body ratio of 90.5 percent, and a maximum brightness of 600 nits. MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G Octa-Core Chipset with 2.4GHz Primary A76 Cores and an ARM Mali G57 GPU are found within.
Up to 13GB RAM is available with the higher-end variant of Dynamic RAM Expansion. The two models come with 6GB and 8GB of RAM, respectively, which can be increased to 11GB and 13GB with virtual RAM. On both models, the dynamic RAM is paired with 128GB of internal storage.
Dual SIM dual standby with 5G and WiFi dual network acceleration is supported. Its 5,000mAh battery delivers 727 hours of standby time and 48 hours of talk time.
On the side, there’s a fingerprint sensor that’s installed for security, and it’s also got an audio port (3.5mm). 8.8mm thin and 191grams heavy, the device runs on Realme UI 2.0 over Android 11. You can choose between Universe Blue or Universe Purple.

Realme 8i with Mediatek’s Latest Helio G96 SoC
It has a 6.6-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, 600 nits of peak brightness, and 100 percent DCI-P3 color space, making it the more budget-friendly of the two options in this comparison. It has a Mediatek Helio G96 chipset with two 2.05GHz A76 cores and six A55 cores.
In the 6GB RAM option, the Realme 8i includes 5GB of virtual RAM and 128GB internal storage. VRAM support, however, is not available on a 4GB RAM version with 64GB of internal storage.
Fast charging up to 18W is supported by the device’s 5000mAh battery. With a 50MP primary sensor, f1.8 aperture, a Black and White lens, as well as another ultra macro lens with a 4cm shooting distance, it’s a triple camera arrangement on the rear. Front-facing 16MP camera for selfies and video calls.
As of now, the smartphone is available in two colors: Space Black, and Space Purple. It is 8.5mm thin with a 194g weight.
