On October 18, Apple has announced a new event. The Apple event will take place one day before the Google Pixel 6 launch. Surprisingly, this is one of the first times Apple has held an event on a Monday. The Unleashed event will take place virtually at 10.30 p.m. IST/10.00 a.m. PT. At the Unleashed Apple event, Apple is likely to unveil new MacBook Pro models. The much-rumoured M1X chip is believed to be included in the next MacBook Pros. Apple is also likely to announce updated AirPods at the October 18 event.
Expected Products on ‘Unleashed’ Apple Event:
New MacBooks with M1x Chip
On October 18, Apple will host an event named “Unleashed.” The business could finally unveil the new, powerful M1X MacBook Pro at the event. Multiple times in the past, rumours of forthcoming MacBook Pro models have surfaced. Apple is rumoured to be releasing two new models. While the Pro MacBook has a 16-inch screen, Apple is rumoured to be increasing the screen size of the base model. The new MacBook Pro is expected to have a 14-inch display rather than a 13-inch panel. The mini-LED display, which was originally seen on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro earlier this year, is anticipated to appear on both models.
The M1X chip, on the other hand, is the star of the show. Both variants will be equipped with an upgraded M1 processor. It will be powered by a 10-core processor. However, one of them, probably the 14-inch model, will have a 16-core GPU, while the other could have up to a 32-core GPU. According to reports, the new Apple silicone can support up to 64GB of RAM.
The MacBook Pro is also believed to have extra ports on the outside. According to rumours, Apple is restoring the SD card slot and bringing it back on the MacBook Pro 2021. It will also have two USB Type-C connectors and an HDMI port. Finally, both models could allow magnetic charging.
3rd Gen AirPods
Apple is expected to release 3rd generation cheaper AirPods with a similar design to the AirPods Pro, but with a shorter stem, replaceable ear tips, and improved battery life, according to previous rumours. However, it is unlikely to include some of the more costly capabilities present in the AirPods Pro, like as Active Noise Cancellation.
Mac Mini with M1x Chip
Apple may possibly release an M1X version of the Mac mini. The rumoured renders indicated a sleeker, updated Mac Mini design with a similar square metal casing and rounded sides, but with a “plexiglass-like” top cover this time. Four Thunderbolt connections, two USB Type-A connectors, an Ethernet port, and an HDMI port are believed to be included in the gadget.
On October 18th, at 10 a.m. PDT (10:30 a.m. IST), Apple will broadcast live from Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California.
