FIFA 22 PC Version will lack HyperMotion and some other features compared to PS5 / Xbox versions

fifa 22 hypermotion feature

The PC edition of FIFA 22 will not have the same next-gen upgrades as the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions, such as the new animation technology. To the dismay of its small but loud fan base, the PC edition of FIFA 22 will instead be equivalent to the last-gen version. It will follow in the footsteps of FIFA 21, which kept its major next-gen enhancements exclusive to consoles. This is done, according to EA, to guarantee that gamers with less powerful PC setups can still enjoy the game.

FIFA 22 PC version will lack HyperMotion Feature:

Instead of the next-gen version on PS5 or Xbox Series X/S, the PC edition of FIFA 22 will be on par with the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. The HyperMotion technology, which uses machine learning and motion capture to create realistic animations in real-time, would be absent from the PC edition.

What is HyperMotion ?

The HyperMotion feature in FIFA 22 is described as a new system that captures 11 vs 11 match play and combines it with EA’s algorithmic AI to create “new animations in real-time to create organic football movement across a variety of interactions on the pitch.”

About FIFA 22:

FIFA 22 has just been released, and fans of the long-running sports franchise can’t wait to jump in and start another FUT journey, a new Career, and a whole lot more. The changes to technology and how they affect the movement and reflexes of both players and AI in a battle are a highlight of each new game in the series.

FIFA 22 will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam, Origin, and Google Stadia on October 1, 2021. The FIFA 22 Legacy Edition will be available to Nintendo Switch users.
