The Google Recorder app that has been updated to version 2.2 has made the feature official alongside the new web app we’ve been awaiting. This new web platform would allow users better access to their recordings, making Google Recorder even more useful.
9to5 Google was the first to see the new mobile app go live earlier this week, encouraging users to back up their recordings.
The Google Recorder app version 2.2 is now available in the Google Play Store. When downloaded, you can use the backup and sync software. Your Google One/Google Drive storage is included with the recordings.
Cloud-based recordings are useful since you can access them from different devices. This helps users to restore recordings on a new computer with a single click. You can search, play, and share recordings stored in the cloud. Without sharing the file, you can create shareable links to your recordings.
The new Google Recorder software makes it easy to record audio whether it is an interview or a lecture. Google updated the software in October, adding smart scrolling, audio editing, video clips, and text corrections. Good for those who want to record and save audio.
The software is also not available for more Android users. Currently, it’s only accessible on Pixel devices, but hopefully, increased usability will eventually see it hit more devices.
