Highlight: iPhone 13 Pro’s Geekbench scores reveal 55% better GPU performance vs iPhone 12 Pro!!
Apple recently unveiled it’s iPhone 13 Series with company’s inhouse A15 Bionic chip. Do note that 13 and 13mini has slight difference when it comes to GPU of A15 Bionic as it packs 4 core GPU while Pro and Pro Max variant packs 5 Core GPU. As usual, this will be powerful as we all know, but, how’s it actually performing? Let’s check out this article with Geekbench scores.
iPhone 13 Pro Geekbench Score
Someone in possession of an iPhone 13 Pro prototype tested this A15 CPU with a 5-core GPU on Geekbench’s computation benchmark using the Metal API today. The final score is 14216, which is nearly 55% higher than the iPhone 12 Pro’s score of 9123. This indicates that the new iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max have significantly improved GPU performance over their direct predecessors.
The A15’s 5-core GPU version has been dubbed “the world’s fastest smartphone chip,” with Apple promising “50 percent faster graphics performance than any other smartphone chip.” That appears to be the case, at least when compared to the A14 Bionic with 4-core GPU found in the iPhone 12 Pro last year. 6GB of RAM is also available on the iPhone 13 Pro.
Our knowledge of the A15’s 4-core GPU performance is limited because no one has yet benchmarked an iPhone 13 or 13 mini. It is also not known at this time which of Apple’s upcoming devices will have the best CPU performance.
