MWC Barcelona (formerly, but still widely known as the Mobile World Congress) is a GSMA (formerly the GSM Association) international trade show devoted mainly to the mobile communications industry. Many OEMs will showcase their new innovations.
MWC Barcelona is scheduled for June this year and the organisers are planning for an in-person event rather than an digital one. The organisers are cutting back on the number of participants from 100 50,000 to handle the event and minimise the chance of participants getting sick. It will also be needed for those who attend to have taken a COVID-19 test 72 hours before their arrival.
MWC Barcelona Covid Measures:
Other steps include requiring masks to be worn by attendees; social distancing by crowd density, stand capability and traffic flow control; touchless registration and information points; and frequent disinfection of stands, product samples, and audio-visual equipment. For these measures, there is a special page in their site on safety norms that you can check out if you plan to attend.
MWC Bacelona 2021 is scheduled to start on 28 June and run until 1 July.
