No permission to start PUBG: Clarifies Indian government

No permission to start PUBG: Clarifies Indian government

PUBG Mobile seems to be facing a tough time to make a comeback in India. The famous Royal Combat game, which is supposed to re-launch in India and has already fuelled a lot of anticipation, may not be launched at all as hinted by the Indian Government.

PUBG Mobile India is one of the most anticipated games since the Royal Fight was banned in India a few months ago. However as a government announcement, it might not be launched again at least for now. Also read-PUBG Mobile India launch: beware of fake download links, some of them could be malware.

According to Inside sport’s article, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) officially indicated that the game would not return to India, stating that the “MEITY did not grant any permission to launch the PUBG.” The statement was a reply to the consumer as part of the RTI query filed on 30 November.

PUBG India Fate still unclear

To recall, shortly after PUBG Mobile India was declared, the government has yet to grant permission to PUBG Corporation for the official re-entry of the multiplayer game. In another article, PUBG Mobile is claimed to have been refused permission to launch in the region.

However the article does not confirm that the game is not going to start at all. There are chances that it will be released a few months later, and that it would finally get approval. A PUBG official told Inside sport, “The PUBG efforts were made in the right direction, but the situation is such that there has been no headwind or progress on the matter. We can’t see the game coming back in India for the next few months, at least not before March 2021. It’s unfortunate, but they all have to deal with it.”

For those who don’t know, the PUBG Mobile India website is now live after it has been announced. PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite were among the 118 Chinese applications that were banned back in September to protect the security and privacy of users. Since we don’t have the right confirmation, we need to wait for one. So stay tuned for this room.
