Samsung is prepping for the launch of it’s new custom skin One UI 4.0 which is based on the Android 12 operating system (OS) and adds new and better customization and privacy features, giving consumers more control over their mobile experience. Today, the company invited public testers to use and give their feedbacks. This update is currently available for S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra. So in this article let’s have a closer look at this news.
Samsung One UI 4.0 (beta) Features:
Participants in the One UI 4.0 beta will have access to extensive customization and privacy settings, allowing them to create their perfect mobile experience – one that is tailored to their specific needs and lets them to express themselves.
The newer version of One UI gives us a wealth of theme options that lets you adjust the look and functionality of your device, giving you tools to configure your home screen, icons, notifications, wallpapers and much more. Plus, redesigned, upgraded widgets offer deep customization — from visibility to appearance. You’ll also have easy access to a larger and more diversified selection of emojis in one spot, allowing you to easily traverse your options and enjoy richer communication experiences.
Special Privacy Panel
The new One UI 4 also has improved privacy and security features, making it easier for customers to understand how their data is being used, change their settings, and give a more personalised mobile experience. Indicators notify users when the app’s camera or microphone is being used, allowing them to quickly stop permissions if they don’t wish to permit access. One UI 4 additionally extends Android 12’s permission choices, allowing users to see their permissions history for the last seven days rather than simply the previous 24 hours. You can also see how much data your permissions and apps are using right now.
AR Emoji Studio
Interestingly the revamped UI also adds AR Emoji Studio. But the company didn’t describe this feature so we have to wait for testers to say their feedbacks regarding this.
How will I join this One UI 4.0 beta program?
Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series in some markets can sign up for the beta programme through the Samsung Members app on their phones. Participants will have the opportunity to see the One UI 4 design and new features, as well as provide input.
