Whatsapp extents it’s deadline to give ‘agree’ to their new policies to May 15!

Last week WhatsApp introduced amendments to its Service Terms and privacy policy and requested users to continue using the service by February 8. After getting several reactions and having switched to Singal and Telegram, the company has explained what information is not collected and not shared with Facebook, its parent company by publishing a FAQ.

It has now announced that they will re-examine and approve the terms from 8 February 2021 to 15 May 2021. The report says it will take time to do even more to overcome the misinformation about how WhatsApp works on privacy and protection.

Regarding this whatsapp said,
With these updates, none of that is changing. Instead, the update includes new options people will have to message a business on WhatsApp, and provides further transparency about how we collect and use data. While not everyone shops with a business on WhatsApp today, we think that more people will choose to do so in the future and it’s important people are aware of these services. This update does not expand our ability to share data with Facebook.
