Microsoft is working with TV manufacturers to incorporate the Xbox Game Pass subscription service into smart TVs with no additional hardware other than a controller, as part of its plan to expand the Xbox ecosystem with a streaming device for Game Pass.
Microsoft stated that it is developing an Xbox game streaming device that would transform any TV into a game streaming machine. Although Microsoft hasn’t confirmed the actual aspect, this appears to be a dongle, as it’s not intended to do anything else.
That wasn’t all, because this was a significant announcement. Cloud gaming will be available in other countries later this year, including Australia, Brazil, Mexico, and Japan.
Xbox Game Pass
Microsoft just paid $7.5 billion buying ZeniMax, Bethesda’s parent firm, in order to promote Game Pass’s appeal – intends to add hit game properties like Doom, Fallout, and The Elder Scrolls to the Xbox Game Pass catalogue by partnering with Bethesda. The goal is to deliver Xbox Game Pass exclusive and first-party titles.
