Today, Microsoft is delivering xCloud to Windows PCs via the Xbox app. Xbox Insiders will have access to a new upgraded Xbox software that includes Xbox Cloud Gaming (xCloud). To access Xbox games from a Windows 10 PC, you’ll need a compatible controller linked through Bluetooth or USB, similar to how xCloud works over the web. A new “cloud games” area will be added to the redesigned Xbox app, giving users access to all of the same games that are available on xCloud on the web.
xCloud Gaming (Beta) on Xbox App for Windows:
Xbox Cloud Gaming with the Xbox App provides the same great Xbox experience which enables you to Play over 100 high-quality Xbox console games. Additionally, you can pick up from a saved game you started on your Xbox, or try out a whole new game from the Xbox Game Pass library to decide if you want to download it to your console.
You can transform any PC into a gaming device with Xbox Cloud Gaming, from brand-new budget computers to older machines with poor specs. Simply connect a compatible controller via Bluetooth or USB, launch the Xbox app, select your game from the “cloud games” menu, and begin playing. By signing up for the “Windows Gaming” preview on the Xbox Insider Hub app, Xbox Insider testers will be able to access the new Xbox app in 22 different countries.
“We’ve also added some new features to help you get started, including easy-to-access information on controller and network status, social features to stay connected with friends, and the ability to invite people – even those also playing on cloud without the game installed – to join you in a game,” - Jason Beaumont, a partner director of Xbox experiences.
