YouTube Shorts was first introduced in India in the fall of 2020, and it has since been expanded to 26 additional countries, including the United States this spring. It will be available in more than 100 countries where YouTube is available starting this week: Firm announced (via Variety) in a blog post
According to Google, in March 2021, YouTube-Shorts received 6.5 billion daily views. Even though YouTube has yet to turn on ad placement or introduce other monetization options for YouTube-Shorts, the global expansion is expected to raise that number.
